Project Details: This project covers three sport facilities in the MBRC region. The scope of works includes the installation of new sport field lighting including associated electrical works, trenching & civil, structural, control systems & commissioning. The project objective is to ensure that sport fields are serviced by compliant lighting that can be maintained to a safe and serviceable condition. The three sites are all situated on decommissioned land fills and as such additional investigation works were completed prior to works commencing on site and all necessary controls put in place. New lighting was installed on Field 3 at Bob Brock park to meet 50/100 lux requirements for soccer training and games. James Drysdale Reserve also involved new lighting to field 3 for soccer training and games with capability to switch between 50 and 100lux. Talobilla Park is a softball facility and new lighting was installed to field 5 to meet the requirements of AS2560.2.6 Lighting for baseball and softball Local Club Competition – 250 Lux.
We are working hard at South Pine Sports Complex to finalise construction of the new soccer facilities. These facilities which include a High Performance Club House and a Local Club House facility along with 4 new soccer fields will provide a much welcome addition to the complex. We are sure that after the excitement of the World Cup Soccer recently held in Australia that soccer clubs will be receiving an influx of players.
